The technology that makes it happen

Dual noise sensor technology, which includes two microphones on each earcup, ambient noise is captured and transmitted to the HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN1. This processor then applies noise cancelling processing in real time across various acoustic environments, employing a new algorithm.

In collaboration with a new Bluetooth® Audio SoC (System on Chip), it dynamically senses and adapts to both music and noise signals, as well as acoustic characteristics between the driver unit and ears, at a frequency exceeding 700 times per second.

To enhance noise cancelling effectiveness, the WH-1000XM4 headphones integrate two technologies: the Personal Noise Cancelling Optimiser, tailored to your preferences, and the Atmospheric Pressure Optimising feature, optimized for air travel.

Ambient Sound Control

Fine-tune ambient sound using the Sony | Headphones Connect app to suppress noise while permitting essential sounds, such as transportation announcements, to pass through when you're on the move.
